Concordia
At the east of Mazatlan you will find a town named Concordia, it was founded in 1571 and it is famous for its handmade furniture of high quality, ceramic tile and pottery.There you will find the San Sebastian church built in 1640; it is the only baroque style church in Sinaloa State. In Concordia you will taste de “raspado” it is a flavored shaved ice, be sure to try it, you won’t forget it.
Copala It was founded in 1565 by the Spaniards, they founded a village to work nearby mines, Copala is a picturesque town located in the Sierra Madre, there you will find some popular restaurants and you can enjoy the banana-coconut cream pie.
Cosalá AT the North West of Mazatlan, there is a little town its name is Cosalá founded in 1550 with a 17th century church and historical museum. Close by you will see waterfalls and natural bathing pools called Vado Hondo.
Teacapan
It is considered as the largest estuary in Mexico, teeming with birds, fish,and wildlife, if you take a boat and cruise the estuary yo will see tropical birds, iguanas, lush flowers and great vegetation. Teacapan is almost deserted it is a great place to relax in peace and quiet.
